Hot pictures for a cold day
We've got our first cold snap going on here in Oakland, California, down to 40F at night, and it got me thinking of a hotter climate: Dubai. I was lucky enough to visit there a few years ago for work when I was at frog design. It was an interesting place to visit, sort of a Las Vegas that takes itself way too seriously and which actually feels like you're still in a desert. I don't honestly feel a great need to go back - lots of interesting places to go instead! But I'm glad I got the opportunity to see it.
These were all taken in 2012, with a Panasonic LX5, a 10MP fairly high-end point-and-shoot. All shot in RAW and processed in Lightroom. Click any image to enlarge.
